Clear boundaries protect veterans and Semper Guide.
These Terms of Use, Product Disclaimer, and Privacy Notice explain what the platform does, what the consultation and support program do, what they do not do, and the responsibilities that stay with each user.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, accepting the guest-generator terms, booking a consultation, enrolling in a Semper Guide support program, or otherwise using Semper Guide, you agree to these Terms of Use, Product Disclaimer, and Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. Electronic acceptance is recorded with the applicable terms version and acceptance time when the platform provides a checkbox.
2. Nature of the service
Semper Guide is owned and operated by Semper Point LLC.
Semper Guide is an independent, self-directed software platform that provides organizational tools, general educational material, user-controlled checklists, private storage features, links to public resources, and editable drafts generated from information entered by the user. Semper Guide may also offer a free fit consultation and an optional Semper Guide Support Program limited to general education, organizational instruction, and software navigation.
Semper Guide is not part of, endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, any federal or state agency, or any Veterans Service Organization. References to VA, VA forms, regulations, ratings, or public resources are descriptive only.
3. No accreditation, representation, or professional relationship
Semper Guide, its free consultation, and its Support Program are not offered as a VA-accredited representative, VSO representative, attorney, law firm, claims agent, fiduciary, medical provider, or financial adviser. Use of the platform or support service does not create an attorney-client, representative-claimant, fiduciary, medical, or other licensed-professional relationship.
Semper Guide does not act for a user before VA; communicate with VA on a user’s behalf; sign or submit claims or forms; access a user’s VA file; choose what benefits or conditions a user should claim; select a diagnostic code; determine eligibility, service connection, effective dates, or ratings; evaluate whether evidence is sufficient; recommend a filing or decision-review strategy; or prepare, present, or prosecute a claim on a user’s behalf.
VA states that accreditation is required to assist in the preparation, presentation, or prosecution of a specific VA benefit claim. Users seeking individualized advice or representation should use the VA’s accreditation search.
4. User responsibility and self-directed preparation
The user chooses what information to enter, what features to use, what edits to make, what evidence to retain, whether to pursue any benefit or review option, and whether or when to submit anything to VA. Semper Guide cannot verify that user-entered facts, uploaded documents, generated drafts, or educational material are complete or correct for a specific claim.
Users are responsible for reviewing generated text, correcting errors, preserving deadlines, keeping copies, protecting credentials, and consulting an appropriately qualified professional where individualized advice is needed.
5. AI-assisted drafting
Semper Guide statement tools may use an AI provider to turn user-supplied answers into an editable draft. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, overly confident, repetitive, or unsuitable. It is a drafting aid, not a medical opinion, nexus opinion, legal opinion, representation, diagnosis, rating prediction, or guarantee.
Users must read and approve every statement before relying on it. Semper Guide instructs the drafting system not to invent facts, but no automated system can guarantee perfect compliance.
6. Educational content and rating information
Resource Center articles, Claims Library guides, rating breakdowns, calculators, examples, and contextual links are general educational information. They may summarize complex laws or regulations and may become outdated. Official VA and eCFR sources control.
Condition guides do not diagnose a disability, establish service connection, identify an automatic secondary condition, assign a diagnostic code, or tell a user what to say at a C&P examination. Calculators are estimates and do not determine entitlement or an official combined rating.
7. Consultation and Support Program boundaries
Semper Guide may offer a free 15-minute consultation to understand what a visitor wants from the platform, explain how the software and education tools work, describe the current service boundaries, and decide whether ongoing support is a fit. The consultation is not a claim review, evidence-sufficiency review, legal consultation, or VA representation.
Semper Guide may also offer an ongoing Semper Guide Support Program for a disclosed upfront fee. While the operator is not VA accredited, that paid program is limited to general VA-process education, organizational instruction, software navigation, accountability around the user’s own Semper Guide workflow, and explanation of publicly available educational material. It does not sell individualized claim preparation, custom evidence plans, claim-specific filing strategies, evidence-sufficiency opinions, form-completion services, representation, or predictions about benefits.
Calling a service “educational,” “consulting,” “support,” or any other label does not change its substance. If a user asks what to claim, what evidence their specific claim needs, how to complete a particular application, or what review path to choose, Semper Guide directs the user to a VA-accredited representative.
8. Software access, Support Program payments, and advertising
Semper Guide software is currently available without a monthly plan, annual plan, per-statement charge, or percentage of benefits. Features or pricing may change later only with clear notice; no user is enrolled into a new paid plan merely by using the software.
The free consultation carries no fee. If a user later chooses an optional Semper Guide Support Program, the program may use one disclosed upfront fee rather than time-based session pricing. Payment purchases only the described general education, organizational instruction, and software-support service. It does not purchase VA representation, individualized claim preparation, a rating increase, back pay, or a promised result.
Payment should be completed through a secure provider-hosted checkout, invoice, or payment link. Users should not send full card numbers, bank credentials, or security codes through ordinary email, chat, TidyCal notes, or document uploads.
Semper Guide may also earn money from clearly labeled paid advertisements or sponsorships on public pages. Paid placement does not mean VA endorsement or a professional recommendation. Sponsors do not control educational guidance and do not receive private profile, claim, evidence, or statement data. A legacy Stripe subscription, if one exists from an earlier release, must still be canceled through Stripe; installing this update does not cancel an external recurring charge.
9. Privacy and data handling
Depending on the features used, Semper Guide may store an account email address, account profile information, email-verification status and temporary hashed verification tokens, saved conditions and ratings, claim notes, uploaded evidence, optional full source PDFs in My Documents—including medical, service, personnel, VA, employment, and statement records—generated statements, checklist activity, terms-acceptance records, temporary guest browser-session identifiers, hashed anti-abuse counters, consultation/contact information, and limited legacy Stripe customer or subscription identifiers. The platform is not VA.gov and is not a government record system.
When a user requests an AI-assisted draft, the information needed to generate that draft is transmitted to the configured AI provider, currently the OpenAI API. The AI provider processes that information under its applicable service terms and privacy commitments. My Documents and the page-extraction feature do not send source PDFs or saved claim evidence to the AI provider or an outside PDF viewer. Hosting, email delivery, analytics, security, scheduling, payment, and other WordPress or third-party services may also process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Do not enter or upload a Social Security number, financial-account number, password, authentication code, or information that is not reasonably necessary. Do not assume that Semper Guide is a HIPAA-covered medical-record system. No internet service can promise perfect security. Users are responsible for a strong password, protecting account access, downloading needed copies, and using a trusted device and network.
Semper Guide does not submit claim data to VA, does not sell a user’s private claim files, and does not share private workspace data with sponsors for ad targeting. Registered users can download a private copy of their currently stored Semper Guide data and standard Veteran accounts can use self-service account deletion. The ordinary guest statement flow does not request an email address. When a registered Veteran chooses to email a buddy-statement request, Semper Guide stores the recipient email address in encrypted private metadata only to send or resend that request and display its status to the Veteran. The invitation uses a revocable, expiring secure link; after the writer submits the statement, that link cannot generate or send another statement. It does not grant access to the Veteran’s portal, claims, evidence, or documents. A signed browser session keeps an ordinary guest draft tied to the same browser, guest drafts expire automatically within 24 hours, and anti-abuse counters use one-way hashes rather than storing a raw email address or IP address in those counters. Semper Guide may keep up to seven encrypted application-data recovery snapshots on the same server to check data integrity and support recovery; those snapshots may include uploaded evidence and full My Documents source PDFs, but they do not contain account passwords. Historical guest-verification records created under an earlier version may still contain the verified email, acceptance time, and use date until removed under the site’s retention practices or legal obligations. Hosting or security providers may separately keep technical logs and backups under their own policies. Account information remains until deleted through available tools or a deletion request, subject to backups, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and legitimate business records.
10. Third-party services, sponsored links, and disclosures
Semper Guide may link to VA, eCFR, Stripe for payments or legacy billing management, WordPress services, TidyCal for scheduling, sponsors, advertisers, or other third parties. Those services are independent and governed by their own terms. Ordinary links are not endorsements. Placements are visibly labeled as advertisements, state whether they are paid or complimentary, and use sponsored link attributes.
11. User content and software license
Users retain responsibility for and rights in the information and original content they enter. Users grant Semper Guide the limited permission needed to host, process, display, and generate outputs from that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the requested features.
Semper Guide’s software, design, branding, educational content, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Access is a limited, revocable, personal, non-transferable license. Users may not resell access, scrape protected content, reverse engineer the service where prohibited, interfere with security, impersonate another person, upload unlawful material, or use the platform to provide unauthorized claims assistance to others.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Semper Guide is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, uninterrupted availability, security, eligibility, rating, effective date, claim success, or financial outcome.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Semper Guide and the site operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost benefits, back pay, opportunities, data, or profits; missed deadlines; VA decisions; or reliance on generated or educational content. Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount the user paid to Semper Guide during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so they apply only to the extent permitted.
13. Suspension, changes, and termination
Semper Guide may protect the platform, enforce these terms, prevent misuse, or comply with law by limiting or suspending access. Users may stop using the service at any time. Anyone with a legacy Stripe subscription remains responsible for canceling it through the available billing tools. Provisions that logically survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and recordkeeping—continue to apply.
Features and these terms may change. A new effective date or version will be posted, and renewed acceptance may be required for material changes.
14. General terms
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the fullest extent allowed. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms, any applicable Support Program enrollment terms, checkout terms, and any specifically incorporated policy form the agreement concerning Semper Guide’s software and support services.
Governing-law, venue, dispute-resolution, refund, business-entity, tax, and paid-support provisions can depend on the site operator’s state, entity structure, and sales practices. Those provisions should be added or revised only after review by qualified counsel familiar with VA accreditation, consumer protection, privacy, paid support services, and the operator’s jurisdiction.
